Why should I train my dog?

Like "people" all dogs are not the same. Some are quiet. Some are very active.

Some are shy. Some are excessively confident. Regardless of what "type" your dog is…training is essential for all dogs and beneficial to your entire family.

Dogs are pack animals by nature. They are born with a well-defined social order. Your dog will look toward you as his pack leader for guidance in our human world. It is not realistic to expect our dog to abide by the rules if the pack leader does not teach the appropriate behavior!

  •   Training creates a good canine companion.
  •   Training can ensure your dog's safety and happiness.
  •   Training provides healthy physical and mental activities for your dog.

Can training correct annoying behaviors such as:

  •   Barking
  •   Chewing
  •   Digging
  •   Jumping on people
  •   Leash Pulling
  •   Not coming when called

Yes, proper training will help you understand why your dog is doing what they're doing and give you the tools to teach them proper behavior.

What is Motivational Obedience Training?

Dog training is no longer just a mechanical regiment. Leadership can be established in a friendly but firm manner. You will learn how to "make it happen" and also make it fun!

No life accomplishment has ever been acquired without effort. Dogs learn by repetition. As your dog's pack leader "you" must be willing to dedicate (three) ten minute sessions daily to your weekly class lesson review.

We use motivational training methods including: Luring, Clicker, and Third Way Training
